Riddled table by Steven Holl

May 30th, 2011 by retail design blog

This visually spectacular, ultra-modern furniture is from Horm, and designed by Steven Holl. The Riddled table and cupboard cast a beautiful pattern upon the floor and surfaces around it – an unexpected and inspiring feature. Light streams through the cut-outs in the walnut veneered legs of the table, emerging from within. The top is of 12mm thick tempered glass. The Riddled cupboard is a combination of aluminium and walnut veneer structure, engraved by laser. Imagine the table or cupboard in a room with few other furnishings… a simple, polished concrete floor perhaps… the effect is simply breathtaking. It’s worth investing in signature pieces of furniture with enduring sculptural beauty that will give joy for many years to come. Luxury items of unforgettable furniture, the Riddled table and cupboard are from Horm.
