Japanese architect studio Design Spirits have designed a stylish ski bar in Niseko Village – a ski resort on the island of Hokkaido, Japan. The Niseko Look Out Café was originally built 28 years ago, but this will be its first ever renovation. Unfortunately, because the café is location on top of a mountain, this wasn’t the easiest task in the world. Vertical timber lattice, a material that is typically Japanese, was chosen as the main material, and booths and slatted timber false ceilings were made to give the bar a cosy and exotic feeling.
