Not the idea but an honest, modern and high-quality product is the focus of the Nike Sportswear Spring/ Summer 2010 Press Pack. The aim is to inform the press of the innovative novelties of the current collection and to inspire them. The honesty was captured using photographs which provide an insight into the photo- graphic process and reveal the secret of how the photos are staged. The special challenge was to combine the different subject areas of a wide range of product groups, such as football, jogging and tennis and to present them in a joint publication.
Costly photo sets and a glossy design were deliberately avoided, since the aim was to focus on the product as a design object. 3 weeks of shooting and 3 weeks of designing the catalogue made this project worthwhile. The Spring / Summer Press Pack has been awarded with a “red dot” for high desing quality.
