Katayama created a space to represent the home for Lisa and Chris, the imaginary model personalities for the free standing store for the European-based Dutch apparel brand WE. Reaching both out to the street and further inside the store from this space is a relaxed atmosphere that would be generated from a friendly environment as shared by family and friends surrounding a large dining table. The welcoming air of the entrance invites customers to casually swing by the couple’s home and then be drawn to the merchandise as a natural consequence.
