Spencer Hart flagship store by Shed and Nick Hart, London

A former bank in London’s Mayfair district has been revamped into a luxe menswear shop. The Spencer Hart flagship store has incorporated many of the space’s original features into its new design. Highly fenestrated windows, a stunning entrance portico and high bank ceiling have remained intact. The new focal point, however, is a circular hanging unit used to display ties and swatches.

The shop reflects the Spencer Hart brand’s many characteristics and customers, from a business man to the avant garde artist. The design team was challenged to devise spaces that showcase and sell clothing, accessories, perfumes, books, films, music and art. Finally, the shop’s basement houses a VIP space that’s so exclusive images are not being released.
