Spain-based Estres Studio‘s Beo Lamp is a hanging pendant light made from various natural materials that are nested together without using screws or glue. The elegant pendant lamp is a 2.7-inch high disc that would look great suspended in a dinning room or modern living space. The ethereal lamp features a simple shape made from contrasting materials like renewable cork, ecological concrete and ash wood.

Estres Studio’s Beo Lamp is made from contrasting materials, however the finished piece strikes a unique equilibrium. The hanging light takes the form of a disc made from renewable cork, concrete and ash that is surrounded by a circular ceramic shade. The “ecological concrete” used to make the lamp is composed of 50% belite and 50% portland, which helps reduce its CO2 emissions.

The Beo Lamp uses no fixings, as the materials’ weight is enough to hold the pieces together – this makes disassembly and future recycling a snap. Valencia-based Estres Studio is run by three designers: Jose Gómez, Hector Muñoz and Jose Ramón Tarazona. They share a life philosophy based on constant experiments, sharing, and learning through many design disciplines.
