Cosmême Shop by Curiosity, Koshigaya – Japan

December 22nd, 2011 by retail design blog

Recently opened in the city of Koshigaya, Japan, Cosmême is a high-end cosmetics shop designed by Curiosity studio. Cosmême is the first large sized self-selection shop to open in Japan, selling prestigious international cosmetic brands that are usually sold exclusively in department stores,’ say designers at Curiosity studio.

The 400-sq-m space has been created to convey the notion of luxury. By using only two shades – black and beige – all the brands on display are unified in the design of the store. The clover shaped ceiling functions as a discreet organizer of the space, since all products are displayed bellow and along that form. The store comprises two areas: make-up and skin care (where customers can choose and experiment the products on their own) and counselling areas. Curiosity is an architecture and design studio based in Tokyo, Japan.
