Aesop store by Ciguë, London

January 15th, 2012 by retail design blog

Hot on the heels of the opening up shop in Southwark, the newest Aesop store opens its doors in the bustling Soho area. This time the australian cosmetics brand has collaborated with Ciguë, the paris-based architecture + design practice which also collaborated on the pop-up shop at Merci and the Marais Boutique. The store is located in a part of the city that’s full of history, and originally destined to become a private park at the command of Henry VIII. taking a cue from this Royal Decree, the store features enameled shelves.

Mind you, the material was praised by the pharaohs of Egypt, kings of Persia and chinese imperial dynasties for its aesthetic qualities and longevity, and it’s a first for Aesop stores. The new outlet carries the brand’s complete skin, hair and body care collection.
