A.R.E. Awards – Hardline Specialty Store 3,001-7,500 sf – Outstanding Merit

This new retail concept offers Patina‘s home décor products. Designers thoughtfully divided space into display and studio spaces, preselecting products in oversized samples so customers can easily visualize choices, and creating a truly interactive experience. Products are grouped by color and type to facilitate comparison, as well.

The “design studio”atmosphere allows customers to bring samples of other room elements, talk to sales associates who are also professional interior designers, and select from a palette of products. State-of-the-art electronic displays help customers find products, and touchscreen technology allows customers to control displays and explore options. A separate kitchen vignette contains an electronic Backsplash Gallery display with more than 50 design ideas.
