When adidas Original hired Sid Lee, in partnership with Aedifica, to review the overall concept and setup of its stores worldwide, the design team came up with a plan that invites visitors to interact with the adidas Trefoil brand in an enjoyable and educational way.

The Workshop – Atelier project – a tribute to company founder Adi Dassler – allows adidas Original to share its rich brand history. Featured in the store are all the tools needed to bring Original’s core values to life.

Located in New York City, the first shop to be adapted has a functional atelier – like interior that includes workbench – inspired tables with cobbler’s last; footwear walls that reveal boxes to built into the Brand, Basic and Denim walls; and communication tools like window, graphics, frames, televisions, books and globes, right trough to the creative mi-Originals tooling area its first generation blueprints.
