May 4th, 2012 by retail design blog

To entice Japanese shoppers you’ve simply got to bring your ‘a’ game. And that’s exactly what Maison Martin Margiela did for its new store in Nagoya. Housed in a modern downtown structure, the store measures a sizeable 185 sqm., featuring a stellar interior in various gradations of shades of white. In the front section displays and storage space are incorporated into sleek floor-to-ceiling closets that truly makes the most of this lofty space.

The same closets can be found in the more intimate and low-ceiling back section of the store, adorned with the same ornamental band. An expansive concrete floor binds it all together. The new Maison Martin Margiela store carries the show collection for women plus apparel lines 1 and 4, accessories, fragrances and eyewear, while for male shoppers lines 10 and 14 are available. Additionally, both can snap up various shoes and items from a collection of select objets.
