It’s the watch we grew up with, and in fact still wear to this very day. We’re talking the inimatable G-Shock, one of the popular watch brands of electronics manufacturer Casio. Today sees the official opening of London’s first Casio concept store at the shopping hub of Covent Garden. The retail space measures 87 sqm., spread over two floors and is designed by creative agency Harrimansteel.

Upon entering the store the ground floor unfolds in a monotone, spiced up with black and white fixtures and fittings in both high gloss and contrasting matt finishes. Displays are bespoke design solutions made from various materials specific to the showcased watch brand, and have been made using interactive components to heighten the brand experience.

And speaking of which, the store also incorporates its history and Japanese heritage in the interior design and features oversized history panels to get a snapshot of the key milestones in the Casio story. More watches are found one floor below where the interior takes cues from last year’s G-Shock East Pop-up store in Spitalfields, a concept which created the Blueprint for future Casio and standalone G-Shock shops.
