ACNE flagship store, New York

June 26th, 2012 by retail design blog

Inspired by its Stockholm base, ACNE has designed a 4000 sq ft flagship store at 33 Greene Street, Soho. All interiors are bespoke to the NYC store and feature a floor framed by black and white striped tiles. Sitting centrally in the tiles is a plush green carpet signifying the island of Stockholm, whilst the blue mirrored back wall symbolises the water which encapsulates the Swedish capital.

Dividing the space are set like partitions painted grey and framed in white, a reference to classic Swedish Gustavian design. The shoe salon to the back right of the store is lined in marble and features bespoke stools designed especially for the space. Hot Pink and Black steel pillars support the ceiling and punctuating the ceiling is a combination of three track spotlighting and bespoke LED lighting designed by ACNE.
