Janous Design have just completed the retail design of New Republic Flagship Store in Leeds, Briggate. Appointed back in April 2012, it has been an exciting project to work on in putting things right by bringing the brand back to its hometown. The impressive 13,000sq ft spread over three floors is linked together by an architectural sculptural staircase which forms the heart of the space.

Janous Design has created all the new fixturing from perimeter and midfloor to reflect the brand’s new direction. The use of sourced vintage furniture added personality to each brand in store. The store houses a number of designer labels such as AX Paris, Vero Moda, Converse, Jack & Jones and Levi’s to name a few of their premium brands, but they will also showcase a huge range of footwear.

It’s not all about fashion. To proudly pinpoint Leeds as its Flagship Store, they are introducing the store as a buzzing music venue. With an exciting agreement with Island Records in place, Republic promises to bring big names to Leeds to create a new and fresh vibe to their brand.

To celebrate their arrival on Leeds city centre’s high street, they hosted a monster party. The night featured performances from Tyler James, Jess Mills and Angel. The evening party continued at the Faversham with guests included DJ Yoda, Tinchy Stryder, Devlin and Willy Moon. The new store in the heart of Leeds will be strong on brands and aims to offer a “social experience” for its 15-25 year old core customers.
