With a mantra to ‘reduce, reuse, recycle,’ Dutch studio i29 has realized a monochromatic pop-up shop for furniture label AsGoodAsNew. The result is largely one-toned is filled with accessories like sofas, chairs, lamps and other accessories. All have been coated in a layers of industrial spray-on plastic to give them a new aesthetic.

‘We find old stuff we like, we fix it, we cover it with our special blend of solvent-free grey matter,’ say Jaspar Jansen and Jeroen Dellensen of i29. Inspiration for the project came from the Gummo office which they designed four years ago. Everything in the office was sourced from Marktplaats.nl (a type of Dutch eBay), and was coated in grey and white to form a ‘simple, complicated, no-nonsense’ result.

The AsGoodAsNew pop-up is located in popular fashion shop SPRMRKT. It’s owner, Nelleke Strijkers, says ‘Everything in SPRMRKT’s recycled home is covered in a mat, dark grey nuance, which gives the little shop a highly conceptual look with arty vintage furniture mixing in perfectly in SPRMRKT’s high-fashion universe.’
