The main challenge in this project was to create a personal identity that escape from the stereotypes of drugstores and beauty stores associated with uniformed pharmacies with an only functional scheme.

First decision was to keep the border walls as they were before the intervention. Then we atomized the borders treating each side not as a plan but as a 3 dimensions shape. That way the shop appears as a big central void with a number of limited edges that go ahead and back according to the inside function, giving it rythm and where the interesting different materials are used in order to make a hierarchy that reveals every different type of element (slat wood over structural elements, brick on the products zone…)

The esthetic is raw and comfortable at the same time. Light converses with the faceted borders and is in this point that we have arrived to our goal of running away from the non-personal shopping spaces that forget the human dimension in the shop experience. The way the iron structure used on the furniture it´s shown covered by a wax to give it a softer surface is a good example of this, walnut dyed wood, a continuous polished concrete floor, the marble counter or the matt lacquered aluminium façade are others.
