AYCE shop by Tasos Linardopoulos, Athens

December 18th, 2012 by retail design blog

Thanks to interior designer Tasos Linardopoulos, a long awaited urban fashion store has opened its doors in the exclusive downtown shopping enclave of Kolonaki. The alternative store is committed to being ahead of the game in all things concerning skateboarders and lovers of urban street wear. A treasure trove for sneaker fans, AYCE is a pioneer in the import of goods previously only available in the USA and has set the bar high from its inception.

The simple black facade and the NY inspired hanging metal sign and somewhat extreme Christmas window display welcomes visitors to browse in its brightly lit black and white interior. An amazing display of colourful sneakers along one wall and clothes and accessories along the other are joined by the elegant black and white leather seating.

The basement is the space for hard core fans of iconic street brands and contains a fitting room custom painted in a camouflage graffiti design by the graffiti artists ‘twentyfourseven’. The store sits alongside the established high end stores of the area – perhaps opening up a new market and changing the face of Kolonaki.
