Pitfield London café, retail and exhibition space by Shaun Clarkson & Paul Brewtser, London

In December, interior designer Shaun Clarkson and textile designer Paul Brewtser opened Pitfield London, a retail and exhibition space in East London’s design central: Shoreditch. This curiosity shop acts as a café and community space and shop with constantly changing objects and exhibitions.

Pieces by local designers sit alongside well-known brands, vintage pieces and design classics. Pitfield’s constantly evolving collection of furniture and accessories creates a bold and eclectic space. You even have the opportunity to buy everything from the chair you are sitting on to the cake stand.

Shaun Clarkson is known for his elegantly exuberant interiors, such as his designs for La Porchetta in Islington and for OXO Tower Bar for Harvey Nichols. Pitfield, Clarkson says, was a way to “bring a bit of our fantastical lifestyle into a retail environment.”
