SHIPPING CONTAINERS! Xiang Xiang Xiang Pray House by Tonghe Shanzhi, Changzhi – China

February 6th, 2013 by retail design blog

Outside Changzhi, China in a rural little village, the shipping container emergency houses that exists there inspired Beijing firm Tonghe Shanzhi Landscape Design to create an amazing five-star hotel out of shipping containers. The Xiang Xiang Xiang Pray House is a hotel built from 35 containers.

It has 21 small cozy rooms for guests to kick back, shake off their worries and relax in. This luxurious place was first built off site and was then shipped to the location for the finishing touches. It took three months to design, build, transport and finish the overall construction. It will be open soon in August of this year.
