Just imagine a library that doesn’t essentially consist of books, but is full of delicate personal objects, dear reminiscences, odours, yet unveiled links and feelings of future experiences. A vision that once emerged from dreams as an archetype, became an invisible frame for the whole “library” to be mounted on.

We have been looking for a close balance between ephemerality and monumentality, industry and luxury, aesthetic constants and present-day advance. Should an interior be imagined as a scent, we would want it to be intellectual, refined. It is the search for intellectual refinement that encouraged unusual precision and greater focus on detail, careful selection of materials and their combinations.

Eventually, one glance may not be sufficient to observe the transition of the structural solutions into delicate interior details, while the archetypical image of the library has acquired forms that spread harmony and intellect.

The linear structure has integrated the interior into a visually rhythmic completeness, where it is easy to find oneself and conceive the exposition sequence. Each brand occupies a separate shelving segment marked with a corresponding book above. The dominating trademarks are vividly presented, their names and logos embossed on impressive veneered panels. The carefully selected wood texture pattern and the glossy surface produce a row of warm hues, which, together with black-painted aluminium shelves add to an impression of depth and luxury.

This impression is also enforced by the lighting systems. The central light beam is directed to the shelves housing rows of sparkling little bottles resembling actors on stage. Meanwhile the inner space is sunk into the pleasant twilight with only a few objects shining, the shelving islets, and, an essential element of the interior, a sculptural group of spongy bronze chandeliers hanging over the cash desk. The hanging golden swarm reflects something on perfection, seduction… As if striving to arouse instincts, yield to the pleasures of smell … in the library, among “books”, whose texts are odours.
