Optik Ganz by Heikaus, Krumbach – Germany

February 22nd, 2013 by retail design blog

For more than 75 years, Optik Ganz has been among the top addresses in Krumbach and the area. The main store was now redesigned to combine traditional values with modern demands and ensure that anyone looking for competent consulting and a stylish selection in addition to better sight has come to the right place here.

We were charged with creating an unobtrusively exclusive optician’s shop. For this, Heikaus created a relatively reduced and purist design concept. The entrance area is light and open to put the long consulting table into the spotlight effectively. Stylish details like the red lounge chairs and the high-pile carpet fit the company’s logo and provide colour accents that contrast with the resplendent white presentation walls.

A wooden cube in the room offers an impressive effect. The cobblestone from the adjacent garden was taken up as a floor pattern again and, together with the windows reaching down to the floor, helps dissipate the distinction between inside and outside. The nature reference is also reflected in a moss-covered display wall. The central round consulting table invites customers to intense discussions according to the business motto of: “We’re there for you only!”

Heikaus GmbH offers innovative shop design from a single source. Heikaus Interior is responsible for implementation and construction, Heikaus Concept delivers the design. For more information, visit www.heikaus.de.
