Laborator cocktail bar, Bucharest – Romania

February 26th, 2013 by retail design blog

In the Bucharest historical center, LABORATOR is a cocktail bar and club with the features of a chemistry laboratory (cause it s all about mixing!). The MIX: furniture from an old drugstore, reclaimed parquet from a demolished house, the vent ducts from a typography, same as the faience, the black and white cement flooring tiles from a pharmacy. The lamps are custom made out of plumbing pipes. Couches are custom made, vinyl upholstered, with a 50’s american dining touch.
