A global company which provides advice on business advancement approached Engage Production Ltd with the request for a facility that could be used for a range of purposes such as presentations and workshops, and was ground-breaking in its use of seamlessly integrated interactive technology.

As a provider of events and workshops that seek to challenge client company leadership, the client required the area not only to facilitate communications through an array of state-of-the-art equipment, but also to showcase the rapid speed at which the consumer is changing as a result of the lightning-fast rate of technological development.

The main feature of Engage’s solution is the multitouch, interactive videowall. At 9.9m x 2.1m, this huge installation plays a central role in the delivery of the client’s services, and is currently the world’s biggest interactive multitouch wall. The wall comprises 24 x 55inch MultiTaction LCD cell displays from MultiTouch Ltd. Because they are stackable, these cells all work together as one huge screen.

Based on MultiTouch’s patented optical imaging technology, Computer Vision Through Screen (CVTS), MultiTaction provides the world’s most advanced set of touch, gesture, and object recognition capabilities. MultiTaction cells are full HD displays which can accommodate unlimited numbers of touch points and an unlimited number of concurrent users with full hand recognition.

As add-ons, Engage supplied a high-quality audio system and a presenter’s tablet as a means of navigation In addition, video conferencing facilities were integrated to the videowall so that audiences can interact with guest speakers from anywhere in the world. Unsurprisingly, video displays can be found throughout the facility and are used for presentation purposes, as digital signage, and in one area as a means of security. Engage has facilitated this by combining displays with a camera and the latest facial recognition software.

Another major feature of the facility is the business sphere. Content, which is controlled by the presenter via tablet, is projected on to a curved surface. Using edge blending server software, three HD projectors combine to create a seamless image.
