The Art of Knit, by United Colors of Benetton, is a new type of pop-up experience in the heart of Soho, New York City. Here you will find a world of knit, color and creativity—the definitive story of the Benetton brand. The converted garage space is a vivid mix of retail, gallery and craft workshop knitted together by the creative minds of You Nguyen, the Creative Director and FABRICA, Benetton Group’s Communication Research Center.

A vibrant color spectrum of apparel & accessories is framed by an explosion of wool-covered curiosities, artworks and illustrations. Such an environment challenges conventional ideas of a clothing store, where dolphins, cactus, neons and sex positions are all welcome. In true Benetton style it is a celebration of diversity—needless to say you are also welcome.

    What’s with this Kama Sutra design? Were the designers on drugs or something? How do you expect kids to react to that? And what were the designers trying to say? Being an interior designer and a parent myself I must say that I am simply Disappointed……
