Cardboard furniture by Peppermint Products*

July 24th, 2013 by retail design blog

This young start up from Munich has a collection including honey comb cardboard stools and chairs: a fantastic way of introducing daring and innovative furniture products. The material is surprisingly strong, despite being light and very easy to manage. It can be of a white coat, which acts as a canvas onto which, one can print or even paint.

The cardboard elements are held with a colourful seat belt strap, which is an attractive addition to the ensemble. Light and eco-friendly furniture, with an unconventional combination of materials. The company started off just over a year ago in Munich, led by four individuals with a vision to produce flat packable, light and stylish furniture.

These units are fairly small in size, so I wonder what the applications would be for larger pieces of furniture. It would be interesting to see how the honeycomb cardboard seating pieces work.

  2. This looks really awesome, and well thought out. Where do you get your board?
