Cardboard furniture by Peppermint Products*

This young start up from Munich has a collection including honey comb cardboard stools and chairs: a fantastic way of introducing daring and innovative furniture products. The material is surprisingly strong, despite being light and very easy to manage. It can be of a white coat, which acts as a canvas onto which, one can print or even paint.

The cardboard elements are held with a colourful seat belt strap, which is an attractive addition to the ensemble. Light and eco-friendly furniture, with an unconventional combination of materials. The company started off just over a year ago in Munich, led by four individuals with a vision to produce flat packable, light and stylish furniture.

    These units are fairly small in size, so I wonder what the applications would be for larger pieces of furniture. It would be interesting to see how the honeycomb cardboard seating pieces work.
