3M headquarters by THERE, Sydney – Australia

The new 8,000sqm Australian HQ for global innovation giant 3M required an extensive branded environment that celebrated their history of landmark innovations as well as captured the 3M brand essence: ‘Harnessing the chain reaction of new ideas’.

We developed a unique pattern for each of the five floors which informed interpretive graphics used in large and small scales for various zones to help create a strong spatial and transitional experience.

Large scale illustrations and graphic portraits pay homage to key inventors and innovators from 3M’s past, while the company’s rich heritage was further celebrated with an unconventional and visually impressive timeline, welcoming visitors to the Australian headquarters and showcasing the company’s brand evolution over the last hundred years.
