NEW TENDENCY is a multi-faceted design studio based in Berlin. Founded in 2009, it designs, sells and collaborates within the realms of furniture, fashion and graphic design, yet adventurously ventures beyond these as well. Adding a new chapter to its activities, NEW TENDENCY has entered the retail arena with a pop-up store all its own in the German capital’s Mitte district. The shop carries a range of furniture pieces and accessories – which balance between art and design – and includes designs such as the signature Meta side table, Shift shelf, Sid & Chad vase pair, X chair and the colourful Cake table. Additionally, a jewellery collection will be launched and a coat rack and a table base. Adding up to the arsty vibe is an interactive photo installation by Eyeem that opens on jun 27 [the pop-up store is open through jul 12].
