Pope Wainwright designed the exclusive launch at Selfridges in London for the new BlackBerry Z30. The launch featured two windows displaying the recent behind the scenes installation of Selfridges’ Bright Young Things captured by the new Z30. Huge screens showcased their annual initiative, where Selfridges handpicks and showcases the UK’s rising stars of the design industry. This year the talents included womenswear, menswear, accessories, millinery, art, animation, set design, food and collective.
For the in-store launch at Selfridges in the technology walkway and atrium, there was an art gallery plinth style to display the new Z30. A mixture of gloss black and matt black with a white glow was used to give a premium feel to the device. For a big impact, Pope Wainwright also designed huge 3D lightboxes of Z30 which dominated the technology hall. The design for the BlackBerry Z30 launch has now been rolled out to Selfridges in Birmingham, Manchester Exchange and The Trafford Centre.
