PARAT designed and produced shop and exhibition displays for the Hamburg based art project ‘Das Magazin’. The task was to develope a modular and flexible system to present magazines and books from all over the world. The elements should be easy to assemble and store on site. Therefore PARAT designed ladder-like constructions which are belted by black leather straps. The colours black and yellow are taken over from the existing logo of ‘Das Magazin’.

The range of furniture includes 6 displays with different sizes, geometries and yellow shades. All the elements have their individual character and own way to display the magazines. The highest elements have to be leaned against the wall. Another tall ladder is the landmark of the exhibition with a huge hanging circle. The zigzag table allows the proper presentation of magazin covers. The series of events has started with a 24h pop-up store that was offering 48 magazines.

PARAT is a design studio based in Hamburg which focuses on interiors and scenography. The company approach is to produce unexpected experiences and provide unique benefits. The corporate portfolio includes projects in the fields of retail store design and corporate environments.
