La Bohème Entomologia windows by Bomarzo, Valencia – Spain

October 30th, 2013 by retail design blog

Under the title of Entomologia, this window concept shows our admiration of the work of the Italian painter Giuseppe Arcimboldo, as well as our passion for the Wunderkammer of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries and the natural science museums of the Victorian era. For this reason, for the realization of our last windows for La Bohème, in Valencia, we have used a thousand replicas of Blue Morpho butterflies and green beetles with a metallic sheen. Both insects cover all visible parts of the anatomy of mannequins, creating disturbing and unsettling images.
