Bea’s of Bloomsbury is an award winning Boutique cake shop located in the heart of Bloomsbury, famous for its Cupcakes, Whole Cakes and Afternoon Tea. Established in early 2008 by Pastry Chef Bea Vo of Nobu & Asia de Cuba Alumni, Bea’s has gone from strength to strength, constantly appearing in the capital’s “Best Of” lists. Bea’s newest location in the heart of St Pauls is a modern take on a classical Japanese Tea House, breathing new life into the concept of taking tea. The Tea House aesthetic is heightened through ambient teapot lights, adding a playful element to the concept of the tea in an urban environment.

The design showcases a brand new design concept on the high street, whilst maintains strong links with the original bakery in Bloomsbury. The new location comprises of two floors: a kitchen and serving area on the ground floor, and a mezzanine level with bench and booth seating, offering customers a casual relaxed environment in which to look out through the glazed facade at St Paul’s. The site is a narrow 70 sqm corner unit in the newly developed One New Change building by Jean Nouvel adjacent St Paul’s Cathedral.
