The Meydan Hotel, Dubai – United Arab Emirates

November 25th, 2013 by retail design blog

Dubai contains many world firsts: some far up in the clouds, and others out in the ocean. Now, this UAE powerhouse does it again, a short distance from Dubai’s business center, with The Meydan, the world’s first five-star trackside hotel. The 1-km long building is a hotspot for equestrian aficionados and architecture lovers. Part of the larger dream that is Dubai, The Meydan Hotel shares its scale, and awe-inspiring modernism.

227 lavish rooms frame the racecourse, where the action can be viewed from any angle – even when having a soak in the tub. If you feel the need to expand your relaxing area, head up to the rooftop infinity pool, or the central spa. After an invigorating day at the races, you’ll either need to drown your sorrows or celebrate your successes. Start off with a saké at Shiba Bar, and then retire to Prime for a perfectly cooked cut of beef. Start your day like a thoroughbred at Farriers’ brunch buffet; you’ll need fuel for the afternoon’s cheering.
