DOS architects’ latest creation is a stunning design for the start-up creative agency MAD London, headed by Jefferson Hack, founder of Dazed & Confused magazine. DOS’ intervention was to design the top 2 floors of this Industrial building in the ever trendy area of Old Street. The intention was to preserve the industrial character of the existing building, whilst adding a layer of warmth and modernity in the bespoke joinery and finishes and lghting.

All inbuilt furnishings were designed by DOS according to the agency’s clear brief of creating a distinctive and original feel for the office space. Exposed plywood is combined with high gloss white lacquer for the large desk, solid Iroko with black powder coated steel for the other desks and shelves and rich grey upholstery blends with the plywood to create the majestic inbuilt sofa in the entrance lobby. This play of light and dark, old and new is what again distinguishes this project as yet another remarkable refurbishment by the DOS team.
