Woods Bagot’s global studio, Sydney – Australia

January 15th, 2014 by retail design blog

Woods Bagot’s global studio is a 24/7 agile team. Given the long but flexible hours of modern day working life, the studio is designed like a home – warm and liveable – aimed at improving the quality of daily life for the team, and at being welcoming for clients and visitors.

Current work practice demands many hours. It was critical to find an indoor environment which interacts with the outdoors. We sought a building that has a superior aspect to a park along the entire length of the fitout.

The studio embodies a continual commentary on design, agile teams, model making and material research, resulting in a dynamic workplace for architectural research. Team zones are flexible and movable to promote collaborative working.
