Fyra was commissioned to design parts of the renovation of Sokos Hotel Koli, situated in a picturesque natural park in the North Karelia region of Finland. Fyra was in charge of designing the restaurant, café, conference and reception area. The objective was to design timeless and classic interiors, which would not draw too much attention away from the beautiful view through the windows. Since the restaurant is used both evening and morning time, special attention was paid to create a modifiable space. Local products play also an important role and are well displayed in the restaurant.

The cafe was designed as an easy-going and cozy space, where customers could pop in effortlessly straight from their outdoor activities. The goal was to set the café interior apart from the restaurant, but for it to still be coherent with the overall design. The conference area went through an extensive renovation, which included the technics and lighting. The lighting can be modified from meeting room requirements to private events.
