Award-winning hospitality interior designers, B3 Designers continue their creative collaboration with Las Iguanas restaurant group, designing the interiors of Las Iguanas Wembley and Las Iguanas Cribbs Causeway in Bristol. As a thriving restaurant chain, Las Iguanas is a leading name across the UK bringing a unique ‘irresistible bolt of Latin American energy’ to the high street. Together with B3 Designers, their Wembley venue is a luxurious affair, which combines soft leather and twinkly lights, with the usual mix of delicious South American dishes and cocktails.

Las Iguanas Cribbs Causeway captures this same energy and vibrancy in an environment that features authentic Latin American graphics as well distressed and reclaimed materials. The abundance of materials and colour makes for two truly unique and chic venues.

Las Iguanas Wembley is situated within the new London Designer Outlet. The interior style of this 630 sq metres dinning space takes inspiration from a smart, relaxed Latin American tone, heavily influenced by the industrial 1950’s, referencing authentic and classic furniture and fixtures. Key features include a perimeter-ceiling feature made from timber beams, which create a canopy like effect, evocative of an outdoor space.

Havana faded glamour, weaves through the aesthetic of the space; the decorative timber floor creates a feeling of the old ballroom style rooms along with a decorative ceiling coffer with detailed cornicing housing three large feature chandeliers. Fret cut antique bronze metal screens present an industrial aesthetic whilst bringing softness with pattern, creating playful shadows through the space. Feature pendant lights are hung at random over the central dining area and can be seen from the glass shop front.

Dark Iroko undulating timber paneling frames the servery area, giving the environment a random, raucous edge. This is complimented by the vibrant, coastal colour palette of coral, mustard yellow, and jade green that features in an array of textured fabrics and worn paint finishes. The team at B3 Designers say, “Las Iguanas Wembley has a very prominent position on the second level of the London Designer Outlet.

Due to its location we wanted the design to be a little more polished, giving it a striking city inspired design. The feedback for the restaurant has been very positive. The Las Iguanas site has a real point of difference from the other restaurants in London Designer Outlet and feels very much a premium destination whilst remaining accessible and family friendly. It’s a great location; Las Iguanas has several sites in London and this venue brings an exciting offer to the West London area.’

Keen to push the brand even further, Las Iguanas also recently opened their Cribbs Causeway site in collaboration with B3 Designers. Located in Bristol the restaurant is situated in The Venue opposite the city’s Cribbs Causeway Mall. B3 Designers have once again created a colourful interior with a warm distressed feel for this new site, serving cocktails, mocktails and tapas a plenty!

“The general public are becoming very design savvy, so we believe that is important that successful brands such as Las Iguanas ensure that their designs develop and this is something which is very close to their hearts. Las Iguanas want each site to be unique and be different from the last. They are always keen to develop their brand alongside the designers, so it is very exciting work for us” says Mark Bithrey, Design Director at B3 Designers.

As an innovative design practice, B3 Designers values its work with Las Iguanas, as the brand continues to explore new avenues for its design aesthetics. Las Iguanas continues to impress diners with its passion for fresh food and mouth-watering dishes that offer up the best of Latin American cuisine and recently picked up the CGA Peach Hero award for Coolest Big Brand 2013.
