B.lux launches its fluorescent version of David Abad’s classic Ilde lamp. In line with its dedication to marketing products that contribute to energy savings, the designer lamp company B.lux has launched a new version of the Ilde pendant lamp. This decorative lighting classic, designed by Catalonia’s David Abad, is now made in a fluorescent version, which guarantees less consumption and optimal lighting.

The product’s adaptation to the compact fluorescent E27 globe lamp has barely brought with it a modification of the Ilde pendant lamp’s exterior design, which retains its simple and lightweight look. However, the use of this new efficient source of light has significantly altered the way in which the light is projected. While the incandescent bulb, acid-etched and featuring a reflector, of the classic Ilde pendant lamp emits a concentrated beam of light, the Ilde Fluor is characterized by its generation of a perfect circle of light, almost 360°.

This flat, non-concentrated lighting effect makes the Ilde Fluor ideal for high-transit areas that require intensive use. Also contributing to this are its outstanding aesthetics, which depart from the traditional image associated with lamps equipped with fluorescent bulbs. Ilde Fluor is available with two finishes: a textured white body with a silver cable, or a textured black with a black cable.
The Ilde collection of lamps is rounded out by table, ceiling and wall versions, in addition to a multiple pendant version called the Ilde Max, which has enjoyed great success on the market. Ilde Max was created to meet the need to fill medium-sized and large spaces requiring a high volume of diffused light. The Ilde collection belongs to the DECO line by B.lux, a manufacturer of designer lamps since 1980, located in the Basque Country.
