Yangtsé Music Room by DVAZQUEZ Studio, Sevilla – Spain

February 22nd, 2014 by retail design blog

The Spanish night hides a wild retreat for business people in the financial district of the capital of Andalusia. Opened in October 2013, art, music and fashion take place in this very exclusive space every day from noon until late. A huge golden bar counter presides the dance floor that houses a dressing room, with a screen that rises and falls and casts shadows of what’s inside. A catwalk of light is deployed from this room ever held a fashion show.

The cafe lounge is a raised area with wooden floors, black marble tables and gilded metal with a changing color honeycomb bar. Each window is covered with metal curtains, customized with the logo of the club. Outside, the facade is covered in full by a high reflective black glass, contrasting with ancient stone moldings creating a great visual impact. The outdoor terrace is presented as a haven for smokers, vertically walled garden and a central fountain.

The design agency DVAZQUEZ Studio was commissioned for branding and interior re-design in just two months. Every single furniture is exclusively designed for the bar in a midcentury timeless style. Wood, leather, brass and custom made tropical wallpaper defines the spirit of this club.
