After two years of making waves in the world of streetwear, Popular Demand has officially opened its first retail store on the world famous Fairfax Avenue in Los Angeles. The store – which was designed in collaboration with Ink & Wood – is the latest achievement for the brand which has been a favorite of various celebrities, including: Diddy, Floyd Mayweather, Colin Kaepernick, 2 Chainz, Kevin Durant, Kevin Hart, T.I. and many more.

Constructed by Derek Kistner of Los Angeles based Ink & Wood, the space is 1200 sq ft and combines over-the-top construction with futuristic design. Customers feel small as they walk through the 7’ steel frame door and stare up at the 14’ high ceilings. The 15’ wide three-dimensional Popular Demand logo adds to the grand scale of the store and its overwhelming feel. Popular Demand CEO, Blake Ricciardi worked closely with the Ink & Wood team to ensure that the store would be something Fairfax had never seen before, and they accomplished just that. Designed to also function as an event space, the store features the following:

– Energy efficient LED lighting capable of 360 degree color
– Lit plexiglass shelves
– A 12’ x 6’ drop-down screen
– Movie theater quality HD projector and surround sound
– A multifunctional cash wrap built to accommodate a full DJ setup
– A 3-piece bench that can be used as rows of seating for screenings and as a stage for performances

The Popular Demand store brings an immersive shopping experience to the historic Fairfax Avenue by combining state of the art lighting and sound with larger than life elements, all wrapped in a partially black shell. The brand’s Square Flag logo is heavily incorporated into the store with an oversized three-dimensional 12’ x 12’ sign on the storefront, a 5’ x 5’ three-dimensional sign behind the cash wrap, and 10” x 10” steel door handles.

The store is located on 450 N. Fairfax Avenue in Los Angeles and is open 7 days a week. For more information on Popular Demand and Ink & Wood visit www.populardemandbrand.com and www.inkandwood.com.
