“Magne-Hinge” Magnetic Frame customizable eyewear by Nendo

May 15th, 2014 by retail design blog

More creative thinking from the talented design crew at Nendo. The “Magne-Hinge” frame, unveiled at Milan design week, offers you one style with many options thanks to specially designed magnetic hinges doing away with fiddly screws. The 0.8mm carved titanium frame uses magnets layered and hooked together allowing you to safely remove the arms by pulling sideways, swapping them for new colors and materials. ”More flexible and difficult to break” Nendo have designed these with durability and ease of use in mind, the search for that microscopic screw something every glasses wearer has experienced.
