Revealed at the Beijing Motor Show, BMW show off their latest 7-series flagship car with a grand name, the “Vision Future Luxury” currently in the concept stage. The lightweight aluminium and carbon fibre high-tech four door saloon boasts some incredible features. An aerodynamic body includes the ‘Air Breather’ and ‘Internal Air Channeling’ systems, both of which channel air flow and drastically reduce drag.

Laser headlamps, intelligent interior lighting, integrated touch command tablets, the real showstopper, three-dimensional display technology, a wrap-around series of three inter-meshing displays, BMW describe “to the eye the interior space seems to continue into the solid structures of the instrument panel.” If that wasn’t enough, this next level auto uses augmented reality to bring information directly into the driver’s field of vision, road hazards, signs and buildings projected in front of the wheel.

At present this flashy design is still a hoverboard style dream but word is that much of the impressive styling and functions will carry over to the new generation of 7-series vehicles coming late next year.
