The latest exciting news from Omerta Studio, the innovative design practice, is their move to a new location in downtown Athens. In a renovated area, three definitive spaces have been created to meet the needs of the practice, each one exhibiting the streamlined contemporary aesthetic for which the studio is known.

Clients are welcomed into the ‘living room’, a comfortable lounge like space furnished with a custom designed 3.30m sofa and coffee table, both designed by the in-house team. The signature black, grey and neutral wall surfaces are present with interesting features, a wall mounted flat screen on grey Render tiles, a bold digital wall clock painting and a fun detail of a vintage typewriter above the black framed entrance to the adjoining room, the ‘office’.

The office is a functional space with a personal touch, placed against pale walls, are twin bookcases, also designed by the practice. On here are displayed a plethora of fascinating books and objects amassed throughout the lives of the designers, this adds both color and a sense of being to the office. A light colored double desk is accompanied by office chairs by Alberto Meda and lighting fixtures by Flos and a library ladder complete the space.

The workshop space of the studio has been entitled ‘The Hub’, this is where the creative juices flow and the magic of mutual collaboration ensures absolute inspiration. It is furnished with a custom designed table and the stunning Louis Ghost Chairs by Philippe Starck, all set against a blackboard wall, perfect for brainstorming sessions!

No space has gone to waste in this compact project as can be seen in the corridor which has been transformed into a gallery space, a virtual ‘Hall of Fame’ which features portraits of the most illustrious designers of our time. Last but not least, the bathroom exhibits it’s very own identity, an urban industrial vibe has been achieved through a grey cement effect painted wall surface and tiles and smart Agape bathroom furniture. Here the masters of design hold court, portraits of Achille Castiglioni and Philippe Starck adorn the walls of this private space.

A beautifully designed and executed renovation project which not surprisingly reflects the style and ethos of Omerta Studio, which is to create the optimum interior for their client through close collaboration combined with the finest material palette and carefully curated pieces both from in- house designers and prestigious international brands.
