Aerni – Haar Kleid Bar Spa by Barmade Interior Design, Bern – Switzerland

July 10th, 2014 by retail design blog

The „Aerni”, located in a beautiful 19th century building in Bern, hosts today a unique combination of fashion boutique, café, hair salon and spa. Wallpaper with ornamental designs, furnishing with linear and simple forms and crystal chandeliers make up the modern decoration of the interior while staying in line with the historical Art Nouveau stucco of the building. The different areas of the spatial structure are connected by inclined concrete cubes in the centre of the room which serve as a bar, sales and display counter.

The harmonious interplay of the existing historical architecture and the modern interior design creates an extraordinary ambience in which visitors can experience the various types of physical well-being.
