Marc Hare, no stranger to the area having lived and worked locally for years, explains, “I am on a mission to remind the new international locals, just what a cool place Notting Hill was before that film burred its edge…From the shubeens and dancehalls of the ’50s and ’60s onto the punk movement in the 70s and the ever-popular Notting Hill carnival, this special part of West London has always been a place where free expression is a local trait.”
