With over 66,962 visitors and 3,445 exhibitors, Maison et Objet is one of the premier events for interior and retail design. Paris was the back drop for this year’s event, where British designer, Tom Dixon was named Maison et Objet’s ‘Designer of the Year’ 2014. Manchester-based manufacturers, Unibox, were called upon to collaborate with Tom Dixon’s design and exhibition team to design and then manufacture a bespoke display system for the preview of his latest range.

The collaboration saw Unibox create bespoke displays that utilised its Modular System and also featured recycled school desks and branded wooden crates. Unibox used aluminium profiles in a matt black anodised finish for the foundation of the industrial themed stand, alongside trestle tables with bespoke connectors featuring laser-cut logos. The design aimed to convey a contemporary minimalist look in keeping with the industrial London theme of Tom Dixon’s latest Mud Collection.
