The love for bicycles prompts bike-connoisseurs all over the world to store their wheels in their apartments. Unfortunately, conventional bikes are often too bulky and folding bikes are just not quite ‘real bikes’. ThinBike’s concept is to provide a full-size bicycle with inventive and elegant solutions for inner-city traffic, like an integrated taillight or a bell built into the brake lever. In addition, by folding up the handlebar and pedals, ThinBike takes it’s rightful place in even the smallest of rooms. The Gates Carbon Drive® combined with a two-gear hub always assures the right drive in city turmoil.

Geometry: Despite its handy and compact appearance, ThinBike scores by offering an adult seating position that is both sporty and comfy at the same time. The low stand-over height eases getting on the bike and also makes ThinBike a stylish companion for ladies. “One-Size-Fits-Most” is the magic formula for a single unisex frame size, which can be fitted to body heights between 155 and 190 cm only thanks to adjusting the saddle height and handle bars angle. 24 inch wheels render our little friend nimble and agile.

Further Accolades for ThinBike: First the iF product design award in gold and now the “Best of the Best” title of Red Dot Design Award: That’s more than you can ask for and we are proud to have climbed the summit of international design twice. Red Dot Design Award is among the best renowned design-competitions worldwide and became a synonym for outstanding design. This achievement will be duly celebrated: On the 7th of July, we will be awarded with the prize in front of an international audience of 1.200 in the Aalto-Theatre, Essen. Following the Red Dot Gala, the winner’s exhibition in Red Dot Design Museum Essen will be opened. Here you may see ThinBike before it will be moved to the permanent exhibition after four weeks.
