Holy Tristan Coffee Table by DOCSTONE

March 29th, 2015 by retail design blog

The enlightened Holy Tristan coffee table by DOCSTONE is a category breaking interpretation of a table lamp: His patented lighting solution is making the table a lamp. Or was it the other way round? Whichever way you want to see it, Holy Tristan is a lighting object and a table at the same time. The Germany based design label and manufacturer hand casts the table’s tripod base from high performance concrete, the core material of choice for all of their products.

Despite the heavy material used, the tables are relatively lightweight: 17-19.5 kg depending on the plate size (500 or 600mm diameter). There are 3 different surface finishes for the concrete base to choose from: Plain, wood-grain, and facetted. The 4.5 W LED light is controlled via a touch sensor in the stainless steel center of the 15 mm thick tempered glass plate. A 3m textile power cord (4 colours of choice) makes positioning Holy Tristan easy. The Holy Tristan series is additionally customizable with individual pattern designs for the glass plate. Recommended retail prices for Holy Tristan start at EUR 659,- for the clear 500mm plate.

These chairs are looking amazing. I like the lightening which is coming out from these chairs. I must say these can be used in a rock show.
