Focusing on the fashion brand’s reputations for basics that are both ‘hip’ and functional, Nendo have added to the number of Theory stores it has designed with two new additions in Los Angeles. Organizing the stores as an ‘urban planner might locate new roads’, the designers set out the displays with the flow of customers in mind. The large, open space has a muted palette of greys and whites. Clothes are hung from or laid out on simple metal structures increasing the store’s airy atmosphere. With client experience in mind, Nendo created oversized dressing rooms and allocated a ‘buffer zone’ between the changing area and the store to separate the flow of customers in the main area from those trying on items.
