Nendo has been responsible for more than a few of our favorite projects. Most recently, the company stepped in to spearhead the design of the “Beauty Library,” an organic beauty store-cum-cafe located in Tokyo’s hip Aoyama neighborhood. The shop playfully reflects its namesake with library-like shelving units that house a selection of rejuvenatory beauty products in bright colors. Guests can also use in-store tablet devices to quickly and autonomously access additional information on the products.

Adjacent to the beauty area is an in-store cafe where customers can order health conscious food and drinks. The joining of food and cosmetics is intended to speak to the idea that the interior and exterior both have a bearing on beauty, and are thus of equal importance.
