As an internationally present one stop provider of everything related to interior design and shop fitting UniversalProjekt already has a great reputation for producing exceptionally creative concepts. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that when time came to revamp their headquarters in Hardheim -Germany, they would step up their game to create a unique and sophisticated space that would further their 30 year plus reputation of consistently delivering customers worldwide highly creative and custom made solutions – from conceptualization to implementation.

For their office space, UniversalProjekt was looking for a solution which needed to fit their needs while at the same time, having an original and creative concept to become a proper eye-catcher suitable for an interior design company. There are just too many things to like in this office. Instead of just being plain and “corporate” this space really has some modern and sleek elements that add a lot of character to it.

The existing office floor had to be redesigned and, most importantly, reconfigured. Although the space itself had potential, the layout left over was unpractical and unsuitable for firm in the brinks of growth. Additionally, UniversalProjekt wanted to design a working space more informal yet elegant with an eclectic domestic feel. Therefore, on the early stages of concept design it became clear that the main motivation in changing the offices was to gain more space while keeping in mind that with the company profile also evolving this was the chance to do something special and really make an impression.

Crips and clean looking material and surfaces dominate throughout the offices in order to create a sense of tranquillity and elegance. A sense of modernity is given by innovative and sleek looking light fixtures. Additionally, thanks to the use of a light color palette the space feels bright and open. Lastly, more informal areas, like the company’s cafeteria and kitchens have proved particularly popular with staff due to their playful and whimsical style while still keeping the same thread of sophistication seen throughout the office.
